Join the Friends of Flushing Library for a fantastic Kwanzaa celebration this Monday, December 30, 2019, at 5:30pm in the auditorium of Flushing Library.
The program will feature the sights and sounds of Kwanzaa with:
- Louise Dente, Cultural Literacy Educator/Artist/Executive Producer at Cultural Caravan TV; and:
- AKoKo Nante Ensemble: Dynamic Pan African percussion/vocal group and recording artists presenting music of Africa and the disaspora.
Come dance and celebrate Kwanza and learn the meaning of the seven principles and symbols of the holiday celebrated by millions of people around the world: “It’s Kwanzaa time!”
Admission is free.
